Upcoming Events

Bring your animal buddies and enjoy "a day of play" and festivities with other animal lovers in our community. Earn great prizes while supporting animals and our vital programs. This is the third year that our Walk has been held at the 66er Stadium. You can do laps as many times as you and your buddy would like around the dirt outfield.

Here's how it works: Prior to the event, ask your friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers to sponsor your participation with a donation. Register below! Then bring your donations and pledge form to the event, or drop them off early at the Humane Society between now and May 7. The more pledges you collect, the more you help animals in need, and the more prizes you earn. Check out the prize list below! All participants will enjoy the Walk, our Vendor Village, Raffles, and Pet Contests.

Schedule of Events:

8:30-9:45 a.m. - Registration

10:00 a.m. - Blessing of the Animals and the Walk begins

10:30 a.m. - Pet Contests begin (Best Dressed, Best Ball Catcher, Best Trick, Largest Dog, Smallest Dog, Longest Ears)

12:30 a.m. - Awards Ceremony: Pet Contest Winners and Top Fundraisers

And throughout the entire event (until 1:00) enjoy the Vendor Village, Grooming Demonstrations, Raffles, and much more!

All of the prizes above, plus an iPod shuffle, will be awarded to the individual who raises the highest amount of pledges.*

(*To win, minimum amount raised must exceed $1,000 and pledged funds must be presented in full at time of the event.)

Event proceeds will ensure that the Cruelty Investigations and Humane Education programs can continue to protect animals through the Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley.

Helpful Reminders:

• All pets must be current in their vaccinations, including rabies, and on a leash (6" or shorter).
• Each registered walkers will receive one free raffle ticket. Additional raffle tickets may be purchased at event.
• If you bring a dog, please ensure that its temperament is suitable for an outing with lots of people and other dogs.
• Watering stations and emergency first aid will be available.
• You can join us even without a pet!

Support the Humane Society with a Day of Golf

If you're a golfer, you won't want to miss this fantastic event. The Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley is the 2008 beneficiary of the 10th annual San Manuel Charity Golf Tournament! Come as a single or rally a foursome on May 12, 2008 at The Golf Club at Terra Lago in Indio. Your participation will make a major difference for the animals we serve, and you'll enjoy a great day and dinner. This is a one-time opportunity.
